起点，是让城市成为展场It began by making the city an exposition
2001 年，平遥国际摄影大展在平遥创办。大展没有把摄影限定在单一建筑之内，而是把古城街巷、院落、历史建筑与工业遗址连接起来，让观看成为穿行城市的过程。Founded in Pingyao in 2001, PIP did not confine photography to a single building. Streets, courtyards, historic structures and industrial heritage were connected, making the act of viewing a journey through the city.
这种空间关系塑造了 PIP 的基本方法。作品与砖墙、木构、厂房和日常生活相遇，摄影师、策展人、专业机构与公众也在同一座城市中建立直接联系。This spatial relationship shaped PIP’s approach. Images meet brick, timber, factories and everyday life, while photographers, curators, institutions and audiences encounter one another directly within the same city.

摄影展览进入古城、院落与工业空间，一座历史城市由此成为面向公众的影像现场。Photography entered the ancient city, its courtyards and industrial spaces, turning a historic place into a public site for images.
第十届The 10th edition
十年连续举办，让平遥逐步形成稳定的展览机制、专业交流网络与公众观看传统。A decade of annual editions established a sustained exhibition model, professional network and public culture of viewing.
第二十届The 20th edition
二十年间，参展主体从摄影师延展到策展人、院校、博物馆、美术馆与影像机构。Across two decades, participation expanded from photographers to curators, schools, museums, galleries and image institutions.
第二十五届The 25th edition
来自 34 个国家和地区的 5000 余名摄影师汇聚平遥，展出逾 2 万幅作品。More than 5,000 photographers from 34 countries and regions gathered in Pingyao, presenting over 20,000 works.
迈向第二十六届Towards the 26th edition
PIP 将继续面向全球摄影师、策展人、院校与艺术机构开放，让新的影像关系在平遥发生。PIP continues to welcome photographers, curators, schools and art institutions worldwide, creating new encounters through images.
历届完整主题、展览、获奖作品与影像资料正在持续整理和校核。Complete themes, exhibitions, awarded works and visual records are being reviewed and added progressively.
面向下一届Towards the next edition
第 26 届平遥国际摄影大展将于 2026 年 9 月 19 日至 23 日举行。展览、公共项目与参展信息将在确认后陆续发布。The 26th Pingyao International Photography Festival will take place from 19 to 23 September 2026. Exhibitions, public programs and participation information will be announced progressively.
